It is essential that global action plans to tackle climate change include funding and protection for grassroots justice and land defenders

My Comment: I have been aware of Namati’s grassroots work for some time. Their work is a reminder that, to avoid massive injustice in the process of addressing climate change, top down innovative legal approaches to both the causes and consequences of climate change must be matched by innovation from the bottom up.
