A Photo Safari Expedition from Tsavo to the Kenya Coast
Our Photo Safaris are aimed at the hobby or enthusiast photographer who is looking to capture some wonderful shots of nature and wildlife in the majestic landscapes of East Africa.
We travel in a modified 4 x 4 Safari Vehicle specifically adapted for photographers.
We will travel in specially modified, open sided 4 x 4 vehicles, specifically designed to meet the needs of photographers. With a wooden side bar for placing your camera, bean bags of your choice (3 different types available) and a roll up canvas to offer a wider range of movement, the vehicles are well adapted to making it easier for you to capture those all important shots.
Ru Bedford will be personally leading this trip. Ru will be joined by a local safari guide who will be trained in the flora/fauna of the reserves that we visit as well as in safari photography.
A key aspect of this safari is that our schedule will be completely flexible in accordance with your photographic requirements, and our game drives will effectively be unlimited (subject park rules & guidelines). This means that the game drives will be more than just the usual ‘early morning & evening drives’ and will ensure that we maximise shooting time during the ‘golden hour’ as well as other aspects. As a group we can decide whether we’d like to stay out ALL morning with a picnic breakfast or even FULL DAY with packed breakfast or lunch. You may also enjoy a much longer afternoon drive - so timings are unlimited as long as they tie in with the recommended park rules & guidelines.

This safari expedition includes a visit to LUMO Conservancy, a stunning community wildlife sanctuary in the Tsavo area of Kenya. The Sanctuary is featured in this short documentary Ru Bedford made about the delicate balance involved in wildlife conservation.
The expedition includes an optional visit to an inspiring coastal community education project run by our friends at ETATU…
…and an Indian Ocean Snorkel Safari with ‘Captain’ Ali, who runs the Msambweni Turtle and Marine Conservation Trust (MTMCG)…
