Walking on the Wild Side;
Journeys through the Natural World
I’ve been fortunate enough to do quite a bit of travelling over the years, and many of my trips have involved walking or trekking of some kind. I have trekked in the Rwenzori ‘Mountains of the Moon’ in Uganda, in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas, and in the deserts of Northern Kenya. Closer to home I have walked Coast to Coast from North to South Devon and covered hundreds of miles along the South West Coast Path.
Walking in the natural world is truly a wonderful thing.

Africa is a continent I’ve visited many times. I’ve produced media for a criminal justice project in Malawi (Malawi Bail Project), a community wildlife conservancy in Tsavo, Kenya (Lumo Conservancy) and community projects on the Kenya coast (Etatu and The Blue Forest). In Vietnam I’ve worked with anti trafficking NGO Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation in Hanoi, and trekked through the Northern Mountain region.

2026 - with kids having ‘flown the nest’ and the body still holding up (just!) I’ve embarked on a new chapter; travelling to new places whilst documenting lesser known projects, people and stories along the way. I travel light and as ‘low carbon’ as is feasable, generally travelling around by train and on foot.
