Travels
“During my life I have been fortunate enough to do quite a bit of travelling (particularly BC ‘Before Children’), and many of my trips have involved walking and trekking of some kind. I have trekked in the Rwenzori ‘Mountains of the Moon’ in Uganda (pic above), in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas, and in the deserts of Northern Kenya. Closer to home I have walked Coast to Coast from North to South Devon and covered hundreds of miles along the South West Coast Path.
Walking in the natural world is truly a wonderful thing…”

Africa is a continent I have visited many times. In particular I have produced media for a criminal justice project in Malawi (Malawi Bail Project), a community wildlife conservancy in Tsavo, Kenya (Lumo Conservancy) and a community education project on the Kenyan coast (Etatu). In Vietnam I have worked with anti trafficking NGO Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation in Hanoi, and trekked in the Northern Mountain region.

A new chapter…
My world having become a little too ‘small’ and comfortable, and with kids having ‘flown the nest’ and grandchildren on the way, I have embarked on a new chapter - focusing on longer multi-country ‘journeys’ around the world whilst documenting lesser known projects, people and stories along the way. Journeys and experiences that should be fun to look back on in my dotage. I travel light and as ‘low carbon’ as is feasable, generally travelling by train, foot and bike.
